Tony Arias, gala host

For almost 40 years, Tony has performed in showrooms up and down the famed Las Vegas Strip as a musical-comedian. At a height of almost 6'4", Tony's singing voice, boyish charm, and quick wit have set him apart as a truly versatile performer. In the world of voice-overs, Tony's baritone voice can be heard on numerous national television/radio campaigns (commercials) as well as documentaries, video games, and even slot machines. Like his voice, personality, and stature, Tony's stage presence is larger-than-life.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, California, Tony moved to Las Vegas just hours after graduating high school with the goal of performing in showrooms on the The Strip. "I had no stage act, no professional stage experience, and I knew no one in Las Vegas. The only thing I did have was this unusual voice that seem to get me a lot of attention. So, I started banging on radio station doors." Since then, Tony's career has featured broadcasting, stage productions, voice overs, cruise lines, and of course thousands of performances on the famed Las Vegas Strip. Tony is a member of SAG-AFTRA.

Penn & Teller, humanitarian award recipients

From humble beginnings 50 years ago busking on the streets of Philadelphia, to acclaimed sold–out runs on Broadway and renown as the longest-running and one of the most-beloved resident headline acts in Las Vegas history, magic’s legendary duo - Penn Jillette and Teller - continue to defy labels (and at times physics and good taste), by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their own very distinct niche in comedy.

The pair live in Las Vegas where they are engaged in their community, acting as honorary chairmen for AFAN (Aid for AIDS Nevada), raising and donating nearly $2 million and serving as grand marshals for AFAN’s annual Las Vegas AIDS Walk for the past 23 years. Through their involvement with Opportunity Village, which assists in employment placement and lifestyle betterment for those living with intellectual disabilities, they have raised over $1 million. The annual blood drive, Penn & Teller’s 13 Bloody Days of Christmas, has resulted in over 85,000 donors since its inception. In 2023, they took part in the USO’s annual Christmas tour, entertaining thousands of servicemen and servicewomen in bases across Europe.

In 2025, the pair celebrates 50 years as innovators in combining smart, edgy comedy with their unique

magical style.

Why join us at our Spring Fling Gala?

We Need Your Help.

  • LVMC weathered the storm of 2020 where more than one-third of nonprofits closed or are at risk of closure, but we face continued headwinds.
  • Our costs have increased +50% since 2019. LVMC has absorbed these costs while increasing community impact and production value.
  • Facility costs at our performance home of UNLV’s Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall have increased +23% since 2022. One Mainstage Concert now costs $20,000+ to produce.
  • We pay at or above market rate to our musicians, artists, and professional staff. We believe all deserve a living, thriving wage while supporting the arts.
  • Our members not only give 13,000+ volunteer hours annually, each member also contributes $300+ of their own funds annually via dues in addition to their indirect costs of concert attire, music printing, and transportation.
  • LVMC believes financial ability should never be a barrier to membership so we cover $3,000+ of member expenses annually from our operating budget.
  • Ticket Sales account for less than half of our annual budget.

Although not specifically a “gay” chorus, ~85% of members identify as LGBTQIA2+. ~40%+ of members have or are currently experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental and physical health issues, abuse, or incarceration. ~40% of members identify as BIPOC with age diversity ranging from 18 to 76. Membership has grown +300% since 2021 from 32 to 100+ members with consistent double-digit growth each concert cycle, showcasing our work is needed more than ever. Ryan Duff, Artistic Director, often says “When you are part of something special, you are special”. This sentiment is desperately needed by both our members and patrons, be it seeking fellowship after coming out or an inspirational respite from the chaotic world.

Your Support Changes Lives.

  • A first-time LVMC patron commented "I've never seen anything like this in my life and was transfixed, moved, altered."
  • Another first-time patron shared LVMC inspired them to return to therapy.
  • Dozens of LVMC members commented that "I can't be my most authentic self anywhere else except when I'm with my LVMC family."
  • Many LVMC members shared that "LVMC saved my life. Giving back and being part of something bigger than myself has given me a sense of purpose and meaning; I wouldn't be here without this organization."
  • Each year in partnership with the Clark County School District, we co-produce "Sing Out: A Tenor/ Bass Choral Festival" intended to bolster confidence and lifelong love of singing in our community's young people.
  • Our Community Concert Series allows thousands of folks to experience the arts free of charge accross the Las Vegas Valley.
  • As a GALA (Gay and Lesbian Choruses of America) Chorus, we represent Las Vegas and Nevada at GALA Festival alongside 15,000+ singers in five days of singing, education, connecting, and creating at the largest LGBTQ choral event in the world.

Your Generosity Reverberates Across the Globe.

We extend safe spaces to the Las Vegas Valley with members giving 13,000+ volunteer hours annually. We ensure we “use our voices for good” through Community Outreach events including World AIDS Day, Las Vegas Aviators Pride Night, Latin Grammy Awards "Los  Producers" benefitting the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Las Vegas Pride, Ribbon of Life benefitting Golden Rainbow HIV/AIDS fund, Aid for AIDS of Nevada, Sin Sity Sisters, Las Vegas Prime Timers, Las Vegas Clark County Library District benefits, Christ Church Episcopal Community Concerts, Arthur Murray Las Vegas Showcases, Harry Reid International Airport Showcases, and Gateway Arts Foundation. Our impact is amplified across the globe through digital channels including YouTube where viewers watched our inspiring content ~32,000 times across 15+ countries this past year alone.
