LVMC weathered the storm of 2020 where more than one-third of nonprofits closed or are at risk of closure, but we face continued headwinds.
Our costs have increased +40% since 2019. LVMC has absorbed these costs while increasing community impact and production value.
Facility costs at our performance home of UNLV’s Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall have increased +23% since 2022. One Mainstage Concert now costs $20,000+ to produce.
We pay at or above market rate to our musicians, artists, and professional staff. We believe all deserve a living, thriving wage while supporting the arts.
Our members not only volunteer their time but each contribute $300+ of their own funds annually via dues in addition to their indirect costs of concert attire, music printing, and transportation.
LVMC believes financial ability should never be a barrier to membership so we cover $3,000+ of member expenses annually from our operating budget.
