Bernie is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors of Arts in Creative Writing. He is a former Naval Officer but lately spends his days happily in the Cannabis Industry. The rest of his time is devoted to his loving husband, Darren Abell, who helped create this website.
He has volunteered with the Las Vegas Men's Chorus since becoming Vice President in 2019. He loves singing with the Chorus and being an enriching part of the community.
James is a 2003 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree and has been teaching with the Clark County School District for 19 years. He also received a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2016. He has been a proud member of the Las Vegas Men’s Chorus since 2015.
Originally from Dominican Republic, Marcos joined the LVMC in 2019 with a background in Luxury Hospitality and Event Management. He’s worked in wide a range of industries with a heavy emphasis on team/project management, philanthropy and communications. Marcos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He lives Paradise Palms and has a corgi/terrier-mix dog named Rocky; and a french bulldog named Disko! He loves sea-salt caramel, and all things Beyonce!
Ryan is a 15-year partner of Starbucks Coffee Company and serves as Market Development Manager leading strategy, business development, design, & construction of Starbucks’ licensed stores in Nevada.
Ryan began playing piano at age six after being inspired by Marvin Hamlisch at a tour stop in Ryan’s hometown. He then studied classical organ which lead to him to a diocesan music director position by age 16. Ryan pursued a double major at Seton Hill University in HR Management and Piano Performance with a secondary focus in Vocal Performance.
Ryan also serves on the board of Starbucks Pride Network and held previous board roles with MassOpera, Boston Gay Men’s Chorus, & Starbucks Women’s Impact Network.
Jonathan is a graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. He holds a BFA in Vocal Performance and has been playing piano for over thirty years. Professionally, he has performed with and played for vocal groups, choirs, theaters, and schools in Chicago, New York City, and Las Vegas, as well as for Cunard Cruise Lines. Currently, he is the choral accompanist and vocal coach or the performing arts program at Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School and also runs Downstage Center Theatre, a musical theatre program for aspiring young actors.
